About Avian Robotics
A STEM-based program built by students, for students — preparing the next generation of engineers, coders, and leaders.
Team Avian is a STEM-based program made up of students finding new ways to build skills in engineering, programming, and business. Our goal is to prepare students for the future. We implement CAD, Java, and other engineering applications to create and build our robot. We also promote fundraising to support the team throughout the season.
Every season we tackle a brand-new game challenge from FIRST, designing a competition robot from scratch in just six weeks. The work happens in our shop at East Mecklenburg High School — and continues through every event we attend.

The hardest fun you'll ever have.
FIRST Robotics combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. We call FRC the ultimate Sport for the Mind. High-school student participants call it "the hardest fun you'll ever have."
